KITCHEN RENOVATION UPTOWN
(“After” photos by Martyn Gallina-Jones)

Before renovations, the successful owners were frustrated with their average kitchen. They longed for a space that would finally reflect their aesthetic and their love for cooking and entertaining. Although their busy schedules were challenging, the renovation was phased to accommodate their career demands.

During renovations, the challenge was to reimagine and elevate this small galley kitchen that made cooking seem like a chore in its unrenovated condition. They wanted a beautiful showpiece that reflected their taste and lifestyle. The entire kitchen was gutted, and HUMANSCAPES’ proposed design options that included high-end appliances, finishes, and details. The clients approved one of the recommended design plans and work began.

After renovations, HUMANSCAPES’ design added significantly more lighting and created a more open appearance; the small kitchen now seems larger and more welcoming. The new design is now more user-friendly for the owners and guests to cook and gather.
Kitchen Renovation Details include: increasing floor space by concealing the counter-depth Sub-Zero refrigerator in the far left full-height cabinet, continuing a more streamlined aesthetic overall by seamlessly integrating the Miele dishwasher into a base cabinet, as well as adding an over-door storage cabinet, built-in spice rack inside an upper cabinet door, full-depth pull-out shelves, flip-down sink tray, pull-out recycling / trash bins, and an interior towel bar.
