Before the Main Bath renovations, a “spa environment” was the owners’ vision, yet, certain building restrictions required that renovations maintain the existing bathroom’s footprint and layout in this owners’ suite. HUMANSCAPES’ design and finishes recommendations resulted in a seemingly larger space that is now a calming daily retreat for these grateful clients.

During renovations, the clients were uncertain about approving HUMANSCAPES’ recommendation to replace the standard bathtub / shower combination with a walk-in shower. After some consideration, they ultimately agreed, and then were delighted with the results.

After renovations, the work had included marble finishes for floors, shower walls, and the top surface of the custom open vanity. New fixtures, a walk-in shower, and custom “storage towers” transformed an ordinary bathroom into a spa-inspired Main Bath experience. An in-shower niche added convenient storage and a handheld shower / body jets unit were other key improvements. HUMANSCAPES’ design enlarged the room by replacing the standard medicine cabinet with an over-sized mirror between two custom-designed “storage towers.” Wood wall panels and storage under the open vanity complete the built-in wall unit with lots of generous storage.

GUEST BATH RENOVATIONS

GUEST BATH - FLOOR PLAN
-
BEFORE - layout has standard tub with shower
-
AFTER - more spacious and luxurious appearance within same layout

Before the Guest Bath renovations, it appeared cold and uninviting due to the small size and standard lighting, fixtures, materials, and finishes.

During the renovations, bright white marble tiles were installed diagonally in the shower and floor inset to give the illusion of more-open space. Adding a warm-toned slab marble vanity top and mosaic tile borders helped create a welcoming and gracious environment for guests.

After renovations, a modest-sized bath now feels more spacious and welcoming for guests due to the high-end finishes, open vanity, and large triple-paneled mirrored cabinet.
