Before renovations, this small galley kitchen was sad and uninspiring for the gourmet chef who owned this condo. The small kitchen was in disrepair and in desperate need of a gut renovation. Now, the sleek, contemporary finishes represent the style of the retired owner who is now enthusiastic about cooking three times daily in this fresh, customized space.

After renovations, HUMANSCAPES’ design added 30% more space, counter surface, and storage by extending the kitchen beyond the original plan. Adding the new soffit above reinforced the new footprint.
Kitchen Renovation Details include: additional overall space, all high-end appliances, brushed stainless / frosted upper cabinets and gloss-finish base cabinets, quartz countertops with waterfall end panel, new full-height pantry / utility closet, pull-out spice rack, drawer storage, over-range stainless steel shelving for small appliance storage, and flip-down sink tray. The client was firm about having mirrors on the backsplash and adjacent wall; and this requirement was re-interpreted as a special design feature using beveled, mirrored subway tiles.
